Celebrating a Milestone: This Year’s One Millionth Visitor Gets a Special Surprise!

When Matt Smuro and his daughter, Grace, scanned their tickets and stepped into the gorgeous Academy of Music to see the hit Broadway musical, Les Misérables, Matt also unknowingly stepped into history as the one millionth visitor of the year. 

Every year, we welcome thousands of performing arts enthusiasts to our vibrant venues, the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, the Academy of Music, and the Miller Theater, making us a hub for unforgettable experiences. As a non-profit organization, we rely on the support of donors and audience members like Matt and Grace to continue to share the transformative power of the performing arts and arts education with the widest possible audience. As a way of saying thank you, we had a special surprise in store. Crystal Brewe, our Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing and Audience Experience Officer, gifted these two lucky guests with tickets to  multiple shows spanning various genres, including Broadway, music, comedy, dance,  jazz, and more!  Fortunately, we were able to capture this magical moment on camera:
