FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (October 2, 2025) – Ensemble Arts Philly presents Ana Gasteyer’s Sugar & Booze Holiday Spectacular at the Perelman Theater in the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. Gasteyer is toasting to the holidays as she performs her festive album of seasonal favorites and holiday originals which topped numerous "Best Holiday Album" lists.
Best known for her six-year stint on Saturday Night Live, Ana Gasteyer is also a highly accomplished singer and songwriter. Gasteyer’s first album, I’m Hip, received equally rapturous reviews. Gasteyer has toured nationally with her “Happy Jazz” act since 2016 and had a residency at Cafe Carlyle.
“In Sugar & Booze, Ana Gasteyer reminds the listener of cozy evenings of yesteryear, effortlessly blending holiday nostalgia with playful swing and timeless elegance,” said Frances Egler, Vice President of Theatrical Programming and Presentations. “Enveloping everything to love about the season, Gasteyer kicks off our holiday programs – followed by ‘Queens of Christmas’ Jinkx Monsoon and Ben DeLa Creme, annual favorites from The Philadelphia Orchestra, A Soulful Christmas, and more.”
Inspired by the album, Gasteyer produced an eight-episode Audible series co-written with Mona Mansour – Holiday Greetings with Sugar and Booze – featuring Maya Rudolph, Patti Lupone, and Rachel Dratch.
At SNL, she created iconic characters, including Bobbie Moughan-Culp and Margaret Jo, plus became known for impressions of Martha Stewart, Celine Dion, and Hillary Clinton. Recent credits include NBC's American Auto, films Wine Country and Happiest Season, and TV series The Goldbergs and Curb Your Enthusiasm. She appeared in Fox's live musicals A Christmas Story and Grease, and on The Masked Singer as The Tree. On Broadway, she starred in Wicked as Elphaba, The Rocky Horror Show, and Tony nominated The Royal Family and Three Penny Opera. She originated roles in Kimberly Akimbo at MTC and played Miss Hannigan in Annie at the Hollywood Bowl.
