“Williams is definitely that guy who will always go for the laugh, no matter what boundaries he crosses.”
– Santa Barbara Independent
“His humorous and inspiring observations on disability, relationships, sex, and race consistently win over audiences… His high energy live performances frequently produce standing ovations… which prompted the late Robin Williams to call him ‘Prozac with a head’.”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (August 25, 2026) – Ensemble Arts Philly and Emporium Presents bring comedian Brad Williams and The Tall Tales Tour to the Miller Theater on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. One of today's most in-demand stand-up comedians, Williams has built an international following through sold-out tours, acclaimed comedy specials, and his sharp, relatable take on everyday life. Audiences can expect an evening of laugh-out-loud stories, quick wit, and fearless observations on everything from relationships and parenthood to race, disability and life's everyday absurdities.
"Ensemble Arts Philly believes every form of live performance has the power to bring people together, and comedy does that in a way that's uniquely immediate,” said Frances Egler, Vice President of Theatrical Programming and Presentations. “There's something special about a room full of strangers sharing the same laugh, and those moments of connection are exactly what we strive to create across our stages. Through our partnerships with leading presenters, we're proud to bring nationally celebrated comedians like Brad Williams to Philadelphia audiences to experience the collective joy that only live comedy can deliver."
Pound for pound, Brad Williams is one of the funniest comedians performing today. Since beginning his stand-up career as a teenager, Williams has built a devoted fanbase by selling out theaters and comedy clubs across the country and around the world. His relatable observations have earned him widespread acclaim, with audiences embracing his honest, self-deprecating comedy and infectious stage presence.
Williams has made numerous television appearances, including The Tonight Show, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and Dave Attell's Comedy Underground. His Showtime specials Fun Size and Daddy Issues were both critical and ratings successes, while his Netflix special The Degenerates introduced his comedy to an even broader audience. As an actor, Williams has appeared in series including Legit, Deadbeat, Mind of Mencia, and Sam & Cat, as well as films including Little Evil, Mascots, and Reno 911! It's a Wonderful Heist. In 2022, he made history as the first stand-up comedian to headline a Cirque du Soleil production, starring in Mad Apple in Las Vegas. Williams also co-created and co-hosted the hit comedy podcast About Last Night with fellow comedian Adam Ray and continues to be a popular guest on national radio and podcast programs.
