FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(May 18, 2026) Ensemble Arts Philly presents CLUE: A Walking Mystery, an all-new immersive experience that invites audiences to step into the world of the iconic CLUE board game as the descendants of its beloved characters – Mayor Green, Colonel Mustard, Solicitor Peacock, Professor Plum, Miss Scarlett, and Chef White. Players will explore Philadelphia and travel to different locations as newly minted detectives to solve the mystery of who murdered the elusive Mr. Boddy. Running Thursday, June 11 through Sunday, July 5, 2026, the experience begins and ends at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts (300 S. Broad Street), with clues hidden across multiple locations and landmarks throughout the city. Designed as a family-friendly experience, CLUE: A Walking Mystery is perfect for families, large groups, friends, and even unique date nights.

The case has gone cold, with the murderer still at large. After the furniture from Tudor Mansion is auctioned off and scattered throughout Philadelphia, detectives must search the city for clues hidden within pieces from the mansion’s iconic rooms – including the Library, Billiard Room, and Ballroom – in a final effort to catch the culprit. Searching for these long-lost antiques will challenge players to be the first group to figure out WHO did it, WHERE, and with WHAT?

CLUE: A Walking Mystery literally transforms the city of Philadelphia into a giant game board, with our audience in control of the next move,” said Frances Egler, Vice President of Theatrical Programming and Presentations. “As the latest in bold presentations from Ensemble Arts Philly, this immersive experience invites audiences to explore the city alongside a cast of talented local actors who help bring the mystery to life. We’re excited to partner with Philadelphia businesses and landmarks to create unexpected moments and hidden clues throughout the city.”

“Part of what makes this project so interesting is its experimental and distinctly Philadelphia spirit,” said Crystal Brewe, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. “Philadelphia audiences love showing up for their city, and CLUE: A Walking Mystery is a chance for families, friends, and visitors to experience Philadelphia in a completely new way – through an interactive, family-friendly summer adventure that blends theater, community, and adventure. We’re eager to see audiences embrace this one-of-a-kind experience where the city itself part of the story.”

CLUE: A Walking Mystery is produced by Right Angle Entertainment, the producers of the highly successful Los Angeles CLUE Live: A Walking Experience in Los Angeles. CLUE: A Walking Mystery opened in Chicago where it ran for two seasons and was subsequently presented in Boston. It is created under license by toy and game company Hasbro. The experience offers fans a new immersive iteration of solving the crime of Mr. Boddy’s murder and is created by the award-winning interactive designers The Wild Optimists.
