FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (May 18, 2026) – Ensemble Arts Philly, in association with Live Nation, presents the groundbreaking podcast mainstay Comedy Bang! Bang! Ground Beefing Tour 2026 at the Miller Theater on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at 8:00 p.m. Host Scott Aukerman, Paul F. Tompkins, and a rotating cast of characters will bring “humanity’s podcast” to life onstage with a fully improvised show where no two performances are ever the same.

Comedy Bang! Bang! blends celebrity interviews with spontaneous, character-driven comedy. Featuring guests like Jon Hamm, Bob Odenkirk, Tatiana Maslany, and Allison Williams, the show’s anything-goes format invites an unpredictable mix of humor, games, and surprise appearances. Now in its 16th year, the podcast has expanded into multiple spin-offs, a New York Times bestselling book, and a television series on IFC.

Scott Aukerman began his comedy career as a writer and performer on HBO’s Mr. Show with Bob and David. In 2009, he debuted a comedy radio show featuring real-life guests and improvised characters, which is now called Comedy Bang! Bang!. In 2010, he co-founded the Earwolf Podcast Network. In 2012, he started a television series based upon his Comedy Bang! Bang! podcast, which completed five seasons on IFC. Aukerman co-created and directs the Funny or Die series Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis, for which he has won two Emmy Awards. His other credits include executive producer of the reality spoof series Bajillion Dollar Propertie$ and the sitcom Take My Wife, both now streaming on Seeso. He also executive produced and co-directed Michael Bolton’s Big, Sexy Valentine’s Day Special streaming now on Netflix.

Paul F. Tompkins is a comedian, actor, and writer known for his sharp improvisation and wide-ranging character work. He is a frequent collaborator on Comedy Bang! Bang! where his fan-favorite characters have become a cornerstone of the show’s live and recorded episodes. Tompkins is also widely recognized for voicing Mr. Peanutbutter on Netflix’s BoJack Horseman and for his appearances on series including Mr. Show with Bob and David, Curb Your Enthusiasm, and Best Week Ever. An accomplished live performer, he has appeared in comedy specials, hosted podcasts including Spontaneanation and The Neighborhood Listen, and continues to tour nationally with improv and stand-up performances.
