FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (January 28, 2026) – Ensemble Arts Philly, in association with Innovation Arts and Entertainment, presents a special performance of Distant Worlds: music from FINAL FANTASY at the Academy of Music on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. 

 

Distant Worlds: music from FINAL FANTASY is the official symphonic concert tour celebrating the timeless music of the FINAL FANTASY video game series. Produced by AWR Music Productions in cooperation with SQUARE ENIX, the tour features stunning arrangements of the franchise’s most beloved themes, composed by musical legends including Nobuo Uematsu, Masashi Hamauzu, Yoko Shimomura, Masayoshi Soken, and others. FINAL FANTASY XIV & AVI original vocalist Amanda Achen and FINAL FANTASY X original vocalist RIKKI will also be performing.

 

Conducted by Grammy Award®–winning maestro Arnie Roth, Distant Worlds combines a full symphony orchestra and chorus with exclusive, high-definition video scenes from SQUARE ENIX, creating an extraordinary multimedia experience that captures the emotion, imagination, and grandeur of the FINAL FANTASY universe. Each performance highlights the artistry of the series’ music and storytelling, transporting audiences into the heart of the games’ most memorable worlds and moments.

Since its debut performance in Stockholm, Sweden, in 2007, Distant Worlds has performed more than 250 concerts across the globe, appearing at such prestigious venues as London’s Royal Albert Hall, New York’s Carnegie Hall, Tokyo International Forum, and Sydney’s State Theatre. The tour continues to expand its repertoire with music from new FINAL FANTASY titles, ensuring that each performance is a unique celebration of the franchise’s evolving legacy.

 

Beloved by fans of all ages, Distant Worlds bridges the worlds of video game culture and symphonic performance, uniting gamers, music lovers, and newcomers alike in a shared appreciation for one of the most enduring and emotionally powerful soundtracks in entertainment history.
