FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (September 14, 2026) – Ensemble Arts Philly presents acclaimed actor, musician, and jazz pianist Jeff Goldblum and The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra at the Miller Theater on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 8:00 p.m. as part of The Night Blooms World Tour. The performance opens Ensemble Arts Philly’s 2026–27 Jazz Series, bringing Goldblum’s signature blend of wit, improvisation, and timeless jazz to Philadelphia following his acclaimed portrayal of the Wizard in Wicked and Wicked: For Good.

"Jeff Goldblum has built an extraordinary career by following his curiosity wherever it leads, whether on screen or on the bandstand," said Frances Egler, Vice President of Theatrical Programming and Presentations. "While many audiences know him for his celebrated film and television work, his decades-long dedication to jazz and the remarkable musicianship of The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra have earned an enthusiastic following of their own. We're delighted to open our Jazz Series with a performance that offers Philadelphia audiences a rare opportunity to experience this side of Goldblum's artistry live, showcasing the spontaneity, virtuosity, and joy that make jazz such a uniquely compelling art form."

For more than five decades, Jeff Goldblum has captivated audiences as one of entertainment’s most recognizable and versatile performers. From beloved films including Jurassic Park, The Fly, The Big Chill, Independence Day, Thor: Ragnarok, and The Grand Budapest Hotel to acclaimed television and stage performances, Goldblum has built a career defined by curiosity, creativity, and unmistakable charisma. Beyond acting, Goldblum directed the Academy Award nominated short film Little Surprises and has produced projects for film and television, while his artistic interests have long extended into music – a lifelong passion of his.

Goldblum formed The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra more than 30 years ago. Together, Goldblum and the ensemble have toured internationally, delighting audiences with vibrant interpretations of jazz standards and Great American Songbook classics. Their performances celebrate the improvisational nature of jazz while combining exceptional musicianship, engaging storytelling, and the spontaneity that makes every concert a unique experience.

The orchestra has released four albums with Decca Records, collaborating with acclaimed artists including Gregory Porter, Kelly Clarkson, Miley Cyrus, Fiona Apple, Haley Reinhart, Imelda May, and Maiya Sykes. Their 2025 album, Still Blooming, debuted at No. 1 on the Official Jazz & Blues Albums Chart and No. 10 on the UK Official Albums Chart. Their latest album, Night Blooms, the companion release to Still Blooming, features guest appearances by Ariana Grande, Cynthia Erivo, Charlie Puth, dodie, Scarlett Johansson, and Melody Gardot
