"My Brother, My Brother, and Me," with their "The Twenty Sun + Sea Tour"
September 13, 2023FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (September 13, 2023) – The Kimmel Cultural Campus, in association with AEG presents, is proud to present the hilarious and quick-witted brothers of the My Brother, My Brother and Me podcast, an advice show for the modern era, with their The Twenty Sun + Sea Tour, coming to the Campus’ Miller Theater on October 11, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. Join the brothers from Huntington, West Virginia, Justin, Travis, and Griffin McElroy, as they take audience questions and turn them into witty, wisdom-filled life lessons with a rapid-fire comedy discussion.
Starting their podcast journey in 2010, the McElroy brothers quickly rose to the #1 comedy podcast spot on iTunes only a year later – allowing them to book outstanding guests on their show in the last decade such as Jimmy Buffet, Felicia Day, and Lin-Manuel Miranda.
“The brothers’ comedic and authentic responses to each topic enable eventgoers to join in the laughter while also reflecting on their own experiences,” said Frances Egler, Vice President of Theatrical Programming & Presentations on the Kimmel Cultural Campus. “Get ready to be a part of the fun and witness My Brother, My Brother, and Me, live and in person.”
My Brother, My Brother and Me was launched as a TV series on the NBC streaming app, Seeso, and is now available on Google Play, VRV, and iTunes, where it was the #1 downloaded series on release nearly a year after the show’s initial launch. Their RPG podcast The Adventure Zone is also a #1 New York Times bestselling graphic novel series and has been optioned to become an animated series for Peacock.
The McElroy brothers have made it a mission to give back to their community by supporting and creating local charities in their small hometown in West Virginia, such as the MBMBMaM Angeles, which allow fans of the show to buy requested items from the “Empty Stockings” list published by Huntington’s local newspaper, raising over $23,000 in 2020. The show has also supported local chapters of national organizations like Habitat for Humanity, Recovery Point, Big Brothers Big Sisters of South-Central West Virginia, and Harmony House.
Other featured upcoming performances on the Kimmel Cultural Campus include Nurse Blake: Shock Advised Tour (October 14, 2023, Miller Theater); The Moth Mainstage (October 21, 2023, Miller Theater); An Evening with the Late John Cleese (October 25, 2023, Academy of Music); Steve Martin & Martin Short: You Won’t Believe What They Look Like Today!
