One of Variety’s 10 Comics to Watch for 2023
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (February 3, 2026) – Ensemble Arts Philly, in association with Live Nation, presents Nimesh Patel: With All Due Disrespect at the Miller Theater on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. For one night only, comedian and Emmy nominated television writer Nimesh Patel brings his incisive takes on culture, identity, family, and the absurdities of modern life to the Miller Theater stage.
Nimesh Patel has risen through the ranks to some of comedy’s biggest stages due to his unassailable joke writing, prolific output, and innovative marketing. Named as one of Variety’s prestigious “10 Comics To Watch” of 2023 and hailed by Vulture as “a Comedian You Should and Will Know,” Patel has charted a path from sold-out comedy clubs to major theaters.
His most recent self-produced special, Lucky Lefty, reflects on his experience having testicular cancer “for three business days” and is his third special in the past two years. Lucky Lefty, along with his first two self-produced specials, Thank You China and Jokes to Get You Through Quarantine, have amassed millions of views on YouTube alone, with no sign of slowing down.
“Ensemble Arts Philly works year-round to present artists across a variety of genres whose work sparks conversation and connection,” said Frances Egler, Vice President of Theatrical Programming and Presentations. “Part of this spring’s comedy lineup, Nimesh Patel has a way of tapping into shared experiences with honesty and edge that resonates with audiences today.”
Patel's first writing job came after Chris Rock saw his stand-up and hired him to write for the 2016 Academy Awards and tour with him. Since then, he has written for Saturday Night Live – with Vanity Fair hailing him as the show’s ‘most intriguing new hire’ – as well as A Little Late with Lilly Singh and the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, and he was a producer for Full Frontal with Samantha Bee. He is a favorite on the late-night circuit with multiple appearances on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Late Night With Seth Meyers.
Other featured upcoming performances include Ali Siddiq: In the Shadows Tour (February 21, 2026, Marian Anderson Hall inside the Kimmel Center); Blue Man Group (February 24–March 1, 2026, Miller Theater); Kurt Elling: Wildflowers (February 27, 2026, Perelman Theater inside the Kimmel Center); David Nihill: Taking Tangents Tour (March 8, 2026, Perelman Theater inside the Kimmel Center); Emmet Cohen: Miles and Coltrane at 100 (March 20, 2026, Miller Theater); Sh!t-Faced Shakespeare® Hamlet (March 20–21, 2026, Perelman Theater inside the Kimmel Center); and Mae Martin: The Possum (March 27, 2026, Miller Theater).
