ENSEMBLE ARTS PHILLY PRESENTS
TWOSET VIOLIN
IN AN EVENING OF COMEDY
AND CLASSICAL VIRTUOSITY,
OCTOBER 7, 2025

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
(September 8, 2025) – Ensemble Arts Philly presents the classical violin and comedic duo, TwoSet Violin, in the Perelman Theater inside the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts on October 7, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. Their one-of-a-kind show offers a unique and interactive experience, creatively integrating humor with actual recital – all while upholding the integrity of classical music.

Australian violinists Brett Yang and Eddy Chen founded TwoSet Violin in 2013, and since then, they have achieved international fame through their popular YouTube channel, which boasts over 4.3 million followers. By the end of 2016, the duo left their positions in the Sydney and Queensland Symphony Orchestras to host live classical comedy performances, making their sold-out debut at the Sydney Opera House. Their approach blends humor and relatability, attracting a diverse crowd that includes young fans and individuals new to classical music. TwoSet's influence has led to collaborations with world-class soloists like Lang Lang, Hilary Hahn, Janine Jansen, James Ehnes, and Maxim Vengerov, inspiring musicians worldwide.

The two talented violinists of TwoSet have redefined how classical music can draw in new audiences and new generations,” said Frances Egler, Vice President of Theatrical Programming and Presentations. “We’re excited to welcome them back to the Kimmel Center, this time in our larger space – Marian Anderson Hall – for a one-night-only event, joined by Sophia Druml on piano.”

TwoSet Violin's unique live performances offer an interactive experience for audiences, a great introduction for those who have never attended a classical concert before. They seamlessly weave current social media trends into the fabric of traditional classical concerts, drawing in a diverse global audience. Their mission is to make classical music accessible to all.

Other featured upcoming performances include Nate Smith (October 11, 2025, Perelman Theater inside the Kimmel Center); Dr. Neil deGrasse Tyson: The Cosmic Perspective (October 20, 2025, Marian Anderson Hall inside the Kimmel Center); Jimmy Carr: Laughs Funny (November 6, 2025, Miller Theater); The Moth Mainstage (November 7, 2025, Miller Theater); Asi Wind: More Than Magic (November 8, 2025, Perelman Theater inside the Kimmel Center); Tom Papa: Grateful Bread Tour (November 8, 2025, Marian Anderson Hall inside the Kimmel Center); An Evening with Samara Joy (November 11, 2025, Miller Theater); Guenther Steiner: Unfiltered LIVE (November 13, 2025, Miller Theater); and Gary Gulman: Grandiloquent (November 14–15, 2025, Perelman Theater inside the Kimmel Center).

By forging their own path, Eddy Chen and Brett Yang have done for classical music what the mainstream classical establishment long yearned for but could not do for itself: they’ve made classical music hip, cool, and exciting for younger generations.
