The clarinet is part of the woodwind section, which is a group of instruments made of wood or metal that you blow air into. Sometimes the clarinet plays soft, quiet notes to make the music feel calm or sad. Other times, it plays short and loud to make the music exciting and peppy! In the orchestra, the clarinet is like a storyteller, helping the audience feel all sorts of emotions through its music.
The Sound All Around concert series is endowed in perpetuity by the Garrison Family Fund for Children’s Concerts, with additional support from the Acadia Fund.
