Cavalleria Rusticana e Grandi Amori

Apr 12, 2025  at 7:00PM

Cavalleria Rusticana and Grandi Amori is an extraordinary show that combines the dramatic power of one of the most famous masterpieces of the operatic tradition, Cavalleria Rusticana by Pietro Mascagni, with the finest opera arias dedicated to love.

At the center of the narrative, the intense passion and tragedy of the Sicilian story of Turiddu, Santuzza, and Lola, who explore unrequited love, betrayal and jealousy. The opera opens with the famous Prelude, which, thanks to its poignant atmosphere, prepares the audience for an emotional journey without equal.

Alongside Cavalleria Rusticana, the show offers a selection of the most famous opera arias celebrating love in its many forms. Excerpts from works by Giuseppe Verdi, Giacomo Puccini, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Bizet, paint the beauty and suffering of immortal feelings. Arias such as "Nessun dorma" by Turandot, "La donna è mobile" by Rigoletto, and "Toreador" by Carmen tell the joy and pain of love, from exaltation to tragedy.

The vocal interpretation of the artists is combined with the orchestra of the State Conservatory of Music "Nicola Sala" in Benevento, which under the direction of Maestro Maurizio Petrolo, returns the emotional power of each individual composition. Each aria becomes a window on the human soul, expressed through music and singing, which draws the audience into the depths of love in all its manifestations. "Cavalleria Rusticana e Grandi Amori" is a unique experience, where love - in its countless nuances - is explored, celebrated and experienced through the timeless beauty of opera music. An emotional journey that remains vivid in the memory of each spectator.
