Your support fuels artistic excellence, community connection, and the venues that bring it all to life.

For generations, The Philadelphia Orchestra and Ensemble Arts has stood at the heart of Philadelphia’s cultural life. Since the Academy of Music opened its doors in 1857, our stages have been a cornerstone of the city’s cultural and civic identity. Each year, we welcome more than one million visitors, support over 3,600 jobs, generate $400 million in economic impact, and reach more than 40,000 students through arts education. Now, as we celebrate the Orchestra’s 125th anniversary and mark nearly 25 years of the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, we are building on this foundation with renewed vision and purpose.

The Campaign for The Philadelphia Orchestra and Ensemble Arts is a bold, $330 million investment in a vibrant future for the arts. It is our promise to champion artistic excellence, expand meaningful community engagement, and preserve and reimagine the iconic venues that make this work possible.

Artistic Excellence

We are elevating new voices and presenting the world’s most celebrated performers, strengthening our role as a beacon for the performing arts worldwide. Through staging bold, multidisciplinary productions like Wagner’s Tristan and Isolde to continued investment in programs like the Marian Anderson Artistic Initiative, we are inspiring generations of diverse artists and audiences alike.

Education and Community

We are creating a vital and inclusive future for the performing arts in Philadelphia through robust education programs, authentic partnerships, and community outreach. Our ambitious goal: to welcome every Philadelphia-area student to our venues at least three times during their K–12 years, expanding access to the arts for all.

Our Landmark Venues

Philadelphia’s performing arts spaces are city icons. Yet our venues—the Kimmel Center and its Commonwealth Plaza, the Academy of Music, and the Miller Theater—require ongoing care and investment. This campaign will allow us to preserve their historic beauty while reimagining how these spaces can serve artists and audiences in more welcoming, accessible ways.
