The Magicians Table is an immersive close-up magic experience inviting guests to step inside the world of renowned showman, magician and carnival owner, Dieter Roterburg, as they celebrate his life after his untimely passing. Led by Dieter's beloved and devout widow, Calliope, guests will come together at the memorial to delight in memories and celebrate his legacy as they are drawn into the final plans made by Roterburg for one last night of wonder, where, hopefully, with the help of his friends, family, and proteges, the trick that eluded him throughout his life will finally be complete.
Over the course of two hours, world-class magicians, handpicked by Dieter himself, will perform table-side, wowing guests with spectacular illusions and tricks and reimagining the art of what magic can be. You'll be seated at a table of 12 and treated to some of the best close-up magic the country has to offer at your table. Drinks are available for purchase and will be served to your table and music will be played throughout the evening. From the moment you enter you will be transported to the private warehouse and performance space of our dead carnival owner, Dieter Roterburg, and you'll take part in a story of love, loss and mystery. Expect a night like no other.
Guests must be 21+ with a valid government-issued ID to purchase alcoholic beverages.

You should arrive approximately 45-60 minutes before your show start time. Doors will open an hour before the show, however, lines may begin to form before this time. Late arrivals will be seated at a convenient point in the show. Arrive an hour before the show to enjoy a drink in the bar and see some special pre-show entertainment.

Designed for intimacy and immersion, the show unfolds throughout the room; with guests seated at semicircular tables - each accomodating 12 guests. A speakeasy reimagined; every seat offers a magical view of the performance ensuring a captivating experience from every angle.
Seating for The Magicians Table is reserved and assigned prior to the performance. Requests to sit with other parties must be made in advance by emailing Audience Servies at audienceservices@ensembleartsphilly.org. Changes cannot be accommodated at the venue.

Yes, you must be at least 18 years old to buy a ticket and attend the show. The Magicians Table is designed for an adult audience. Guests must be 21+ to purchase alcoholic beverages. A valid goverment-issued ID is required for all alcohol purchases.
We have select 1PM Saturday matinee performances available for ages 14 and older.
