We’re partnering with StoryCorps on their newest major initiative Brightness in Black, a celebration, a truth-telling, a showcase of the richness and complexity of Black life in America—with your stories front and center. Join us as we kick it off with them in Philadelphia at The Kimmel Center on Saturday, September 14 12–4pm. The StoryCorps Mobile Booth will be parked in front recording stories, and the celebration with live music and spoken word performance, storytelling installations, panels and chats, and giveaways will be inside Commonwealth Plaza. storycorps.org/bib-launch
The event will be hosted by Cherri Gregg, feature spoken word performances from Kai Davis, Seraiah Nicole, and Chill Moody, and include a panel “The Brighter Side of Black” with Marc Lamont Hill, Gregory Walker, and more.
