Join distinguished scholars Robin Wall Kimmerer and Suzanne Simard for a transformative conversation on how humans and the natural world are entwined in enduring patterns of reciprocity, care, and interdependence. Together, they will share insights into how trees function as social creatures and how both ecological science and Indigenous perspectives reveal that life sustains life through networks of generosity, not just competition. The discussion will be moderated by Natalia Schwien Scott.

A book signing will follow the panel discussion in the Kimmel Center Lobby.

The Root Song Panel Discussion is part of the special project Root Song: Listening to the Wisdom of Trees, presented by the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society. For more information, visit pcmsconcerts.org/rootsong.
