Who says the arts are just for adults? We are thrilled to bring back our Family Discovery Series, filled with fun performances that the whole family can enjoy. Jampacked with childhood favorites including Disney princesses, superheroes, and Christmas elves - you won’t want to miss one second! Get ready to let your wild side run free when Wild Kratts Live 2.0 - Activate Creature Power comes to the Miller Theater on September 23! Join the Kratt brothers (who adults may remember from their 1999 PBS series Zoboomafoo) as they work to bring creatures to safety from a comic villain, while also sharing fascinating facts about some of the world’s coolest critters. Filled with loads of electrifying and educational excitement, these performances are sure to be a hit for animal lovers of all ages!

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, no it’s The Philadelphia Orchestra as they present Music of Superheroes on October 14! Come dressed as your favorite superhero and listen to the themes from your favorite movies, TV shows, and more brought to life by Your Grammy-Award winning Philadelphia Orchestra. And get the fun started before the show even starts with hands-on art activities, meet and greets with your favorite characters, a pop-up comic book shop, and more - all happening in our Plaza before the show. So, fly like Superman, run like the Flash, or climb like Spider-Man to make it to Verizon Hall!

Witness the magic of Disney Pixar’s Coco in a way like never before at Coco Live-to-Film Concert on October 15. Watch the music of Oscar and Grammy-winning composer Michael Giacchino reimagined as it is performed by the 20-member Latin ensemble, Orquesta Folclórica Nacional de México. Hear this film in a whole new way as you follow Miguel to the Land of Dead for an extraordinary adventure, making this a performance you will long remember even after you say goodbye.

No, you aren’t in another universe, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Live in Concert is coming to the Academy of Music on October 24! Featuring a soundtrack that blends symphonic orchestral music and hip-hop, this performance creates a sonic universe with a full orchestra and turntables on stage alongside a viewing of the Academy Award winning animated film. The whole family will enjoy the adventure as they swing with Miles Morales as he discovers the limitless possibilities that the Spider-Verse has to offer.

Everyone’s favorite Australian pup comes to the Miller Theater as Bluey’s Big Play returns on November 18 – 19. This show has taken the world by storm and now you can see this award-winning children’s series brought to life with a brand-new story on stage. And everyone can enjoy Bluey in the best environment with an ASL performance on November 18 and a sensory-friendly performance on November 19. Grab the sticky geckos, break out the duck cakes and alert the grannies: this a show you will not want to miss!

The Pumpkin King is making his way to Verizon Hall as The Philadelphia Orchestra presents Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas in Concert on November 24 - 26. Come along as Jack Skellington tries to break from his Halloween persona and instead start aiming to spread Christmas cheer, with many hiccups along the way. Your Philadelphia Orchestra performs the brilliantly evocative Danny Elfman score live as the film plays on a giant screen above the stage—an unforgettable holiday season treat.

Do you hear the sleigh bells jingling? Ring, ting, tingling too? The holidays are finally here and so is everyone’s favorite family tradition! The Philadelphia Orchestra again presents its holiday tradition - The Children’s Holiday Spectacular - on December 16th with everyone’s favorite holiday hits, sing-alongs, and special guests. You never know who may pay a special visit to Verizon Hall, so make sure to bring the whole family to find out!

Treat every day like Christmas when you see holiday favorite Elf in Concert on December 22 - 23. Watch classic 2003 film as The Philadelphia Orchestra plays every note of John Debney’s iconic score LIVE, following Buddy the Elf on his magical journey all the way from the North Pole to New York City. With plenty of room for everyone on our “nice list”, get your tickets today to watch this beloved Christmas film come to life!

What better way to bask in that post-holiday haze than by coming to see Cirque Dreams Holidaze at the Miller Theater from December 26 -31. Featuring a variety of contemporary circus acts, this is a whimsical winter spectacular filled with beloved holiday characters that the whole family will enjoy. Jampacked with festive fun, these dazzling performances will leave you with visions of sugar plums dancing in your head until the new year.

Calling all young musicians! The Philadelphia Orchestra proudly presents The Young Person’s Guide to The Orchestra at Verizon Hall on February 10 that will provided a guided journey through each instrument that makes up an orchestra! Written by Benjamin Britten, this piece will explore the unique sound of each instrument in a concert perfect for young music lovers and orchestra-loving grownups!

 Let it go! Let it goooo! Making its Philadelphia premiere, the Broadway adaptation of the hit film Frozen comes to the Academy of Music form March 21 – April 7! Journey with sisters Anna and Else through the land of Arendelle as they learn how the power of true love can conquer the coldest winters. Filled with magic, laughs, new songs, and of course the adorable snowman Olaf, this show will bring a smile to every member of your family!

April showers may bring May flowers, but they also bring beautiful music! Travel through every time of year as The Philadelphia Orchestra presents Vivaldi’s iconic Music from the Four Seasons in Verizon Hall on April 6. This family-friendly program stars the violin as our guide through the drama and excitement of the changing seasons.

Grab your tap shoes and get ready to dance when Chloé Arnold’s Syncopated Ladies: Live! comes to the Miller Theater on April 13. Created by Emmy nominated choreographer Chloé Arnold, this all-female tap experience is loaded with fancy footwork, feminine prowess, and dazzling energy. A celebration of beautiful, diverse, and talent women, this electrifying performance is a must see recommended for all ages!
