“There’s nothing like bringing friends and family together at the holidays to experience the singular power of the arts,” said Matías Tarnopolsky, president and CEO of The Philadelphia Orchestra and soon-to-be president and CEO of The Philadelphia Orchestra and Kimmel Center, Inc. “Family-friendly shows like A Magical Cirque Christmas showcase the power of collaboration, introducing young audiences to a variety of spectacular art forms. We look forward to celebrating the holiday season with this award-winning cast of awe-inspiring circus artists.”

A Magical Cirque Christmas is produced by Simon Painter, Tim Lawson, and Magicspace Entertainment. Painter and Lawson have created Circus 1903–The Golden Age of Circus, LeGrand Cirque, Le Noir, Cirque Adrenaline, and The Illusionists in over 250 cities from London to Sydney to Broadway. Lawson and Painter’s first collaboration was Le Grand Cirque at the Sydney Opera House, and the show broke every box office record in the history of that iconic venue.

Acclaimed magician Lucy Darling joins the all-star cast as the master of ceremonies. Darling was named 2019 Stage Magician of the Year by the Academy of Magical Arts Magic Castle in Los Angeles and has also appeared on Penn & Teller: Fool Us. Darling is a 10-time award-winning entertainer featured in the Guinness Book of World Records (2014), Ripley’s Believe it or Not (2015), and the star of the Super Channel documentary Carisa Hendrix: Girl on Fire, which tells the true story of the struggle to create her 2016 Las Vegas magic show.
