Kimmel Center and Academy of Music Wedding Guide

You have decisions to make, dreams to fulfill, guests to impress. So let’s walk you through, step by step.

Choose a location

We think there’s no more beautiful place to get married than the Avenue of the Arts. The view here is bustling by day and sparkling by night, and parking and public transportation are at your feet. At the Kimmel Center, even diehard suburbanites and out-of-town relatives will feel at home. A very elegant home.

Consider the menu

“Venues... have plenty of space for dancing and celebration, privacy, great views, and the added bonus of the acclaimed cuisine of Jose Garces” - Philadelphia Style

Garces Events is our exclusive caterer. You may know Jose Garces: Iron Chef, James Beard Award winner, author, and owner of a more than a dozen restaurants. His brilliant team will help you craft a menu that fits your personality as a couple.

Meet the staff

Decide on a venue

Contemporary. Classic. Bold. Can we help you choose?

It’s stunning. It really is. This glass rooftop atrium, our most popular venue, offers an impressive view of the city and adds sparkle to every event. Invite up to 200 guests.

Academy of Music Ballroom

Shimmering chandeliers. Hand-gilded walls. The Ballroom, a proud throwback to an elegant era, has been called the most beautiful room in Philadelphia. Invite up to 150 guests.

Commonwealth Plaza

This public plaza is one of the most dramatic indoor spaces in Philadelphia, with a soaring 150-foot vaulted glass roof. A sophisticated, architectural backdrop for up to 750 guests.

Perelman Theater

Watch our turntable stage transform itself into a theatrical setting for your ceremony and smile graciously at your first standing ovation. Invite up to 250 guests.
